Senator John Watkins Endorses Glen Sturtevant for State Senate
~Watkins supports Sturtevant to succeed him in the 10th District~

CHESTERFIELD, VA – Stating that Glen Sturtevant is “a leader who will put doing what is right before partisan politics,” Senator John Watkins announced today that he is endorsing Sturtevant for the Virginia Senate in the 10th district, which Watkins has represented since 1998.
Speaking about his endorsement, Watkins said, “Glen Sturtevant understands that we must bring people together to improve our schools and create jobs for Virginia families. He is the best choice for Virginia’s future.”
Reacting to the news, Sturtevant noted, “It is an honor to be endorsed by Senator Watkins in this campaign for the 10th District seat. He has been a respected and dedicated advocate for the citizens of the Commonwealth for many years, and I am incredibly grateful to have his trust and support.”
Sturtevant also remarked, “In the Senate, I look forward to continuing Senator Watkins’ efforts to make Virginia a great state for business so that we can grow our economy and create more jobs for Virginia’s families.”
The 10th Senate District includes all of Powhatan County, part of Chesterfield County, and part of Richmond City. Senator Watkins joins a growing group of organizations and officials from all across the 10th District who have endorsed Glen’s campaign. A full list of endorsements are below.
